The inaugural Dungarvan Classic was launched by John Treacy in the Avonmore Waterford Group conference centre last week, when the Irish Olympic silver medallist was made an honorary life member of the three clubs involved - Dungarvan, Gold Coast and West Waterford. The event will take place from May 11th to 13th and is already attracting interest from Wales, England and France as well as Ireland.

Coinciding with the launch of the Classic was the Dungarvan A paradise for Golf and Leisure brochure. This fine production is a follow-up to the very popular earlier edition and now includes a more comprehensive guide to the many other activities in the area such as fishing, sailing, equestrian, walking and hill climbing.
