TOTTENHAM manager Gerry Francis is still determined to sign Rosenborg's Norwegian under-21 international winger Stefan Iversen and Swiss centre back Ramon Vega from Italian club Cagliari even though he has already been turned down in bids for both players.
Francis said yesterday: "I have offers still on the table with both the clubs concerned. I'm not saying how far we have gone with talks because it could alert other clubs, but I'm still hopeful about these two and in the end I am aiming to buy a total of four new players this season.
Francis lodged a bid with Rosenborg for 19-year-old Iversen last week that he admits was higher than the £1.5 million Manchester United paid Molde in the summer for striker Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, a Norweigian record.
