The tongues have been wagging about this ball long before it hit the shops here. In its first week on the US Tour, it became the number one non-wound ball and many of the professionals have sworn by it - and continue to swear by it. As Titleist say, it "delivers yet another breakthrough choice for golfers seeking longer distance and Drop and Stop performance into greens".
The new Pro V1 utilises large core, multi-component urethane elastomer technology and produces higher ball speed and lower spin to produce very long driver and iron distance. The manufacturers claim that the ball has a ball flight which holds its line even in windy conditions while the very thin urethane cover provides "soft, solid feel and offers shear and abrasion durability".
