RACING FAIRYHOUSE PREVIEW:IT'S OVER two years since Get Me Out Of Here has won a race but today's Grade Two opener can see Tony McCoy's mount get a welcome change of luck.

The fact that the Keelings Strawberry Hurdle isn’t run at Cheltenham will almost be a help in itself as Get Me Out Of Here has enjoyed no luck there at all.

Runner-up by a head to Menorah in the 2010 Supreme, he was denied by Final Approach’s nose in the 2011 County Hurdle and last month had to settle for another festival second behind Son Of Flicka in the Coral Cup.

Oscars Well was also in action at the festival when sixth to Rock On Ruby in the Champion but strictly on figures, Get Me Out Of Here looks to have been given a good shout to beat Jessica Harrington’s star.

The other Grade Two could be a different prospect for the Harrington team with Steps To Freedom fancied to overcome plenty festival disappointment.

The versatile dual-purpose type was well fancied for the Supreme won by Cinders And Ashes but faded badly when it counted. He coughed afterwards though so that looks worth forgiving.

The County winner Alderwood leaves handicap company for this while Davy Russell’s decision to partner Il Fenomono sees Ruby Walsh on Midnight Game. Allure Of Illusion could be a danger after running a fine sixth in the Supreme but Steps To Freedom can score despite top weight.

It might be the last race of a busy eight-race day at Fairyhouse but there is unlikely to be an exodus for the gates with Don Cossack reappearing in the concluding bumper.

The Gigginstown youngster is rated a potential superstar by trainer Gordon Elliott and there did appear to be something out of the ordinary about the way he overhauled Rory O’Moore at Navan last December.

Michael O’Leary’s Gigginstown team could also strike in the handicap hurdle with Dedigout who has a lot of weight but looks a type to improve for better ground.

Carthalawn, once a graded race performer, and very successful on the point-to-point fields this winter, looks the one to be on in the Jack Tyner Memorial Hunters Chase at Cork’s Easter Monday fixture.

Minella For Value looks another likely winner in the first of the bumpers down south.
