TIMARIDA lost her unbeaten North American record in the Grade One Matriarch Stakes on the turf at Hollywood Park on Sunday. Johnny Murtagh's early stages of the 10 furlong contest but kept on to finish fourth, beaten two and threequarter lengths, by Khalid Abullah's Wandesta (Corey Nakatani).
John Oxx said: "I think that Timarida was too rank or free early on and because of that she didn't finish. Maybe the large crowd excited her, but Johnny Murtagh thought she would have relaxed better."
