RUGBY:SUPPORTERS CONSIDERING buying individual tickets for the last match of the Guinness Series, Ireland v Argentina on Sunday, November 28th, might have noticed that they are actually €5 more expensive than tickets originally bought for that encounter as part of the New Zealand/Argentina package.

Tickets for the latter package were paired at €190, ie €100 for the New Zealand match and €90 for the Argentinian match, but tickets returned by the Argentinian Federation, and which are on sale individually on the IRFU website, have curiously been priced at €95.

This is at odds with tickets for tomorrow’s Ireland-Samoa match, which were priced at €50 as part of the South Africa/Samoa package, as all tickets for tomorrow’s game, including those returned by the Samoan federation, remain at €50.

Furthermore, the IRFU applies a €4 service charge for each ticket or package purchased. Following on from their admittance that they had got their ticketing strategy and pricing wrong, this is hardly likely to assuage a decidedly disgruntled rugby public.
