KILDARE SHC FINAL/Celbridge 2-16 Confey 0-15:GOALS FROM Mark Moloney and Conor Kenny inside the opening seven minutes set Celbridge on their way to their third Kildare hurling championship title in a row in Newbridge yesterday.
Following the two quickfire goals, the steady free taking of Paul Divilly brought Confey right back into the game but his team still trailed Celbridge 2-5 to 0-10 at half time.
Confey had an early chance to level the scores after the restart but once Divilly put his long range effort wide, Celbridge scored four points in a row and never looked likely to lose the game, running out winners by seven points.
