"This site is for the many thousands of people who work in the golf business and the several thousand others who would like to do so. We aim to supply a wide range of useful information both quickly and accurately in a format which is easy to use. We are independent of all specialist groups."
You learn something new every day. There is something in Britain called the "Golf Owners Operators and Developers Directory", which serves as a sort of Yellow Pages Bible for people in the industry.
The GOOD Book (geddit?) is available on this site, and it offers "the details of golfing organisations and associations and a suppliers guide which contains nearly 5,000 entries".
For example, if you click on the Clubhouse icon, you get a list of everything from architects, bar equipment, club ties and pest control to Hole-In-One Insurance (honestly), model making (no, I don't know either), water coolers and yardage books.
Click on to the Pro Shop and you get, well, quite simply every article and accoutrement you might possibly want to stock in your shop.
