THE accurate kicking of out-half Gareth English was the principal difference between Terenure and Cistercian Roscrea in this Leinster Schools' Junior Cup replay at Athy yesterday.

English gave Terenure the lead with a dropped goal and again put Terenure in front with a penalty after Gavin Duffy had converted a penalty for Roscrea. The winners led 6-3 at half-time.

The out-half converted hiss second penalty five minutes after the re-start, following a ruck inside Roscrea's 22. Terenure were in control for most of the hall, but two disallowed tries notwithstanding, they failed to cross the Roscrea line.
