Despite having to play with 10 men for most of the second half, Galway United managed a win at Terryland Park last night.
UCD dominated proceedings and had a good chance on goal after 28 minutes when Alan McNally's 35-yard drive was tipped over for a corner by United goalkeeper Mark Cobey. However, nothing came of it.
Darragh Sheridan was sent off in the 53rd minute, but the hosts managed to find the net on 65 minutes through Colin Fortune.
