RUGBY SCHOOLS/Leinster and Munster Cups/ Mount Temple 12 St Andrew's Coll 10: It took two individual bursts of brilliance from Mount Temple's Stephen Boyle and Max Rantz-McDonald to wreck St Andrew's College's ambition of making the Leinster Senior Cup final at Templeville Road yesterday.

Mount Temple started the brighter and enjoyed territorial dominance during the first quarter of the game. They were, however, unable to finish.

It was during St Andrew's first foray into Mount Temple's half in the 18th minute that Felix Jones got over the line for the first score, which he converted.

The winners did not recover until Rantz-McDonald sped outside the cover and cut inside the last man for a try that was converted by Ian Denham.

Then Boyle fended off three tackles from the 22-metre line to make it 12-7 in the 51st minute.

Jones scored from a 56th-minute penalty and was unlucky with two drop-goal attempts and a tricky injury-time penalty.
