The Teachers' Golf Society will return to Howth on Friday night to mark their 75th Anniversary

The Teachers' Golf Society will return to Howth on Friday night to mark their 75th Anniversary. Founded in Howth Golf Club in 1924, it is fitting that the president of the society, Paul Noonan, is also the vice-president of the host club. Paul is a member of the society for over 60 years and enjoyed the recent celebration trip to Portugal. The teachers team were also to the fore in winning the Smurfit PGA ProAm at The Island when professional Martin Sludds was joined by Michael Quish from Adare Manor, Dennis S Callaghan from Edmondstown, who holed all the putts that day, and local member Donal Boyle, who gave all the right yardages to the successful team.
