CORK EXPERIENCED little difficulty in securing two valuable points from this embarrassingly one sided encounter in front of a few hundred people at Pairc Ui Rinn yesterday.
Cork had the points wrapped up by half time when they led by 4-14 to 0-3, with the goals coming from Ger Manley, Joe Deane and Alan Browne.
Cork's superiority in the first half was underlined by the fact that goalkeeper Ger Cunningham did not have to make one save of note as London struggled to come to terms with the pace and skill of the home side.
The second half was a matter of target practice for Cork, whose victory was never in doubt. They can now look forward to a place in the quarter finals where they will, surely face a much stiffer test of their abilities.
Cork's other goalscorers were Deane and second half substitute Seanie McGrath.
