RONNIE O'SULLIVAN (20) has been cleared to continue his attempt to become the game's youngest world champion after a disciplinary hearing in Sheffield last night.
O'Sullivan was given a two year ban, suspended for two years, against his future behaviour after admitting he had assaulted a tournament official at the World Championship.
O'Sullivan has also been fined £20,000 by the World Professional Billiards and Snooker Association, and has agreed to donate £10,000 to two charities.
O'Sullivan apologised for the assault and promised that from now on he would be a "model professional and an ambassador for the game".
He is due to start his quarter final against John Higgins this morning.
