IRISH representatives Summerhill College, Sligo finished third in the Golf Foundation International Team Championship for Schools held at Loch Lomond in Scotland, the venue for the World Invitational in July.
Lycee Bellevue, the French golf nursery who have won the competition six times inside the past decade, emerged as winners of the team event with the Australian team from Kooralbyn International School, Queensland.
The first day's play was rained out completely, forcing teams to play 36 holes on the second day.
Brothers Sean and Martin McTernan and Eoin Moriarty played extremely well for an aggregate total of 464 to comfortably taking third place, eight shots ahead of South Africa.
