UCD 0 Galway United 0:BILLY BRENNAN was equal to Galway's only shot on target as Seán Connor's Tribesmen failed to score for the fourth match in five.
College goalkeeper Brennan got down well to push away James Creaney’s low drive on 82 minutes.
In truth, UCD were scarcely much better – they had to settle for successive scoreless draws – in a dull game.
UCD did start well with Peter McMahon and Ciarán Kilduff having chances inside five minutes.
But Galway generally dominated before the break, though they created just one opening; a minute before the interval when Stephen O’Donnell put Karl Sheppard in but the striker fired wide.
The game opened up, and Kilduff’s acrobatics from Ciarán Nangle’s cross at the other end warmed the hands of Barry Ryan. He then had to parry a stinging drive from Graham Rusk.
