Charlie Mann will attempt to block a strong Irish challenge when he saddles the new £30,000 Russell Baldwin & Bright Novice Hurdle Series Challenge at Chepstow on Monday.
This two-mile contest, together with a similar event at Wolverhampton in March, is restricted to horses bought at two Russell Baldwin & Bright sales in May and November and is the first of its kind in Britain.
It has attracted 10 entries, including three from this country - Fandango De Chessy, Jolly Side and Lyreen Wonder.
Explain This followed up his Cheltenham debut win by finishing second to Premier Generation at the same course last month.
Mann said: "These two races have always been the plan for him. They are both worth £30,000."
