Strachan looks too good for my fellow

GUEST TIPSTER:IT'S ALWAYS easy to criticise racecourse management but I would compliment the Cheltenham team on how they handled yesterday's unprecedented events. They made a brave decision and they made it quickly.

I was at the track in the morning and they had no option. When they were told to expect 50-60mph winds in the afternoon there was nothing else to do.

This way it is just frustrating: it would be much worse if everything had to stop half way through racing.

It is going to be a long day, more like racing at Belmont Park than Cheltenham, but for my team, the highlight will be Finger Onthe Pulse, who goes in the Jewson.

The ground will be a big factor for every horse as it looks like being tacky and testing. That won't be ideal for my fellow but we know he is adaptable from some of his performances through the winter and he'll handle it better than most.

I think he has a very good chance of being in the first three, but Mr Strachan will still be very hard to beat.

The fact he has beaten Tidal Bay speaks for itself after that horse's win in the Arkle, and Mr Strachan must have an outstanding chance.

The same applies to Inglis Drever in the World Hurdle, especially after Tidal Bay on Tuesday. Inglis Drever has so much class and if anything he looks to me to be racing sweeter than he ever has this season. I was very impressed with his win the last day.

If there is an outsider to look at, it might be Kazal, who looked very well when I saw him in the morning. He might be a bet to reach the frame but Inglis Drever has so much ability it is hard to see him beat, even if he does hit another of his flat spots at some stage.

The two I take out of the Ryanair are The Listener and Mossbank.

A good gallop will suit both of them and if I had to pick one, it would be Mossbank, whose owner, Michael O'Leary, has horses with me.

The Racing Post Plate is very open but I can't forget how Don't Push It impressed me at one stage last season.

For a while he looked like he would go right to the top.

That didn't happen for him, but I wouldn't give up hope just yet.

He has a big weight on his back but on the handicap mark he has, if he is to progress to the top, then he will nearly have to win today.

For me there are no stamina doubts about Robin Du Bois in the Pertemps and he was impressive in a bit of work after racing at Leopardstown recently.

He's getting plenty of weight and Tony Martin will be delighted that Footy Facts has stayed in at the top of the handicap.

Robin Du Bois must have a major chance.

My view on the races transferred to today haven't changed in 24 hours.

Oranis has a rating that is a stand-out in the four-mile National Hunt Chase and Albertas Run would still be the one I would pick out in the Sun Alliance.

If anything, the delay makes me even more eager to see the Queen Mother Champion Chase, especially since Katchit's win on Tuesday proved Alan King's horses are flying.

Voy Por Ustedes was my bet of the day yesterday and just because he runs on a Thursday now doesn't change that. He has an outstanding chance.12.30: Oranis
