Blackwater CS led at the break, 0-10 to 0-8, despite Tony Kelly’s dominance for St Flannan’s at centre back.
After 50 minutes, St Flannan’s substitute Shane O’Donnell goaled for a 1-17 to 0-13 lead. A 14-man Blackwater side fought back with goals from Stephen Bennett and David Geary and, only for a square infringement in the dying seconds, Darren Maher’s free, which went all the way to the net, would have levelled matters.
