Wigan owner Dave Whelan is threatening to take Greater Manchester Police (GMP) to court over what he believes to be excessive policing costs at the JJB Stadium, with GMP in turn warning that if an unpaid bill of £200,000 is not met, they will withdraw the club's safety certificate.

That match has been moved to Sunday, August 14th , along with Newcastle's trip to Arsenal.

Everton and Manchester United open the new season the previous day, now their Goodison Park fixture has been allocated a 12.45pm kick-off due to the demands of pay-per-view.

There are some spectacular clashes listed in the first couple of months alone, with Chelsea's Stamford Bridge meeting with Arsenal now moved to Sunday, August 21st.
