The Smithers brothers made sure that the Christmas dinner was taken care of last weekend when they won three classes between them at Donabate. Mark Smithers produced the golf of the day to win class one on both nines while his brother Gary won class two on the front nine. Mark had a fantastic 47 points for the 18 holes with 23 on the front nine and 24 on the homeward journey. Gary wasn't far behind with 25 points on the front nine to win Class Two.

At Dungarvan it was another family affair. The Norris brothers, Nick and John, battled it out in Saturday's singles. Twelve handicapper Nick finished the better. Over the 14 holes, Nick had 34 points to win by three from John.
