ADRIAN MARREN scored seven points as Sligo held on for a two points win over battling Waterford at sunny Markievicz Park yesterday. Victory assured Sligo of promotion and a play-off against Antrim after Carlow’s win over Wicklow. Waterford were on top in the first half with Brian Wall and Seán O’Hehir powering the team to an eight points to five half-time lead.
