Sligo Rovers 2 Drogheda U 0:Drogheda United gave Sligo Rovers a real fright at the Showgrounds on Saturday night before two second-half goals gave the home side the points which sent them to the top of the Premier league.
“Our tempo wasn’t good and we weren’t pleasing to the eye, but we won,” said Sligo boss Paul Cooke.
Matthew Blinkhorn broke the deadlock in the 58th minute heading Joseph Ndo’s corner kick past Stephen Trimble in a crowded goalmouth.
