Sligo 1-16 London 0-9:SLIGO SWEPT to a comfortable 10-point win over London in this FBD Connacht football league game at Kent Park, Ballydoogan.
James Hynes and Colm McGee scored 1-7 between them in a game in which the exiles played impressively, but left empty handed having also lost to Sligo IT by 1-10 to 1-4 the previous evening.
McGee opened the scoring after two minutes before Lloyd Colfer opened London’s account from a free minutes later.
Good play by Paul McGovern,McGee and Nial Murphy set Hynes up for the only goal of the game in the 15th minute and Sligo led by 1-7 to 0-4 at half-time.
London were first off the mark in the second half when full back Seán McVeigh pointed but Sligo were never troubled thereafter.
