Sligo’s county convention, scheduled for Tuesday, has been postponed because annual accounts will not be ready.
According the GAA’s rules audited accounts are meant to be presented to annual convention. Although it is believed Croke Park wouldn’t force the issue provided the audit was in progress, Sligo chair Cyril Feehily decided it would be better for the convention not to proceed until the work is completed.
According to county PRO Gerry O’Connor said it is not known when the accounts will be finalised.
