A great display by their pack, with David Lee and Jim O'Regan outstanding, enabled Skerries Community College to progress in their Leinster Senior Cup Section A semi-final at Santry yesterday.
Mount Temple started well, but a Ross Maybury penalty after 15 minutes was their only reward. The bigger Skerries pack took control and Conal Keane kicked a penalty after 17 minutes before missing two more. Mount Temple took the lead after 40 minutes when following a run by hooker Leo McLoughlin, Maybury kicked a penalty.
Mount Temple tackled like demons and it was only in the 58th minute after a mix-up following a drop out that James Sherlock seized on a half chance to cross for a try which Conal Keane goaled.
