LEAGUE OF IRELAND PREMIER DIVISION:Shamrock Rovers 1 UCD 1 - BRIAN SHORTALL'S late equaliser grabbed a crucial point for UCD in their relegation struggle. On a night when Cobh won and Finn Harps drew, College needed to take something here and after a listless display is was the substitute who grabbed the vital equaliser.

Brian King's free kick went to the back post, and Conor Kenna headed back across goal for Shortall to scramble the ball home.

Eoin Doyle had earlier opened the scoring for Rovers, the youngster finishing well after Pádraig Amond flicked Joseph Ndo's cross into his path after 52 minutes.
