NFL DIVISION FOUR Fermanagh 1-10 Carlow 0-6:FERMANAGH made a winning start to their Allianz NFL Division Four campaign at Dr Cullen Park thanks to a James Sherry goal midway through the second half.
After establishing a 0-6 to 0-2 lead at the interval Fermanagh looked good for the win but when Darragh Foley reduced the gap to two points, it gave Carlow fans hope. However, in a devastating five-minute spell Brendan Murphy went off with a suspected broken ankle and Sherry fired home.
