SOCCER AIRTRICITY LEAGUE:BRIAN SHELLEY is determined to go into the summer break with Bohemians' "unacceptable" defeat to Galway United in April having been redeemed when the sides meet again at Terryland Park tonight.

“It wasn’t a good night for us in Dalymount,” said defender Shelley of their 3-2 defeat which also saw three players, Ken Oman and Raffaele Cretaro of Bohemians, and Stephen O’Donnell of Galway, dismissed .

“To lose at all in Dalymount is bad enough, but to concede three goals is unacceptable. We know that and we’ll be looking to put that right . . . we’ll be going there to get the three points.

Striker Cretaro remains out for Bohemians having had surgery on his shin splints while Steven Gray, Anto Murphy and Aaron Greene need to prove their fitness.

Midfielders Alan Murphy and Derek O’Brien are still out injured for Galway. Thomas Heary is a doubt, but manager Seán Connor expects Séamus Conneely and Bobby Ryan to return.

Leaders Dundalk will be without the three players sent off in Friday’s cup defeat to St Pat’s – Ciarán McGuigan, JJ Melligan and Garry Breen – who are now suspended for the visit of Sporting Fingal to Oriel Park tonight. Dundalk are also likely to be without injured captain Liam Burns.

Sporting pick from the same squad that drew with Mervue United in their cup game on Friday with midfielder Shane McFaul likely to come back in from the start.

Likewise, St Patrick’s work off much the same squad that won at Oriel Park for their home game with Bray Wanderers, who must plan without David O’Neill, David Tyrrell and Richie Baker.

Shamrock Rovers’ only slight injury concern is winger Seán O’Connor (ankle) as they host Drogheda United at Tallaght. The visitors will be without injured trio Robbie Martin, Darragh McNamara and Jamie Harris.
