Bob Shearer shot a last round 67 to win the Jersey Seniors Open at La Moye.
Shearer, in only his second event in the European Seniors Tour after reaching 50 last week, defied strong winds to come from eight shots behind overnight leader Mike Slater to take the title.
Tomny Jacklin proved the main threat on the day. His round started in the worst possible way, missing a four-foot putt on the first green with a new putter, but after a birdie on the fifth Jacklin chipped in on the sixth for an eagle three to move three under par.
He three-putted the 10yh for a bogey but bounced back with another birdei. After dropping another on the 12th Jacklin came to the 16th two shots adrift of Shearer but his eagle putt from eight feet to tie the lead spun round the hole before staying out.
