THERE will be important changes on the board of the FIC at their annual general meeting in Malahide at the end of the month. But, with so few nominations, very little time will be required for the elections.

Pat McQuaid continues as president, and although Jack Watson's term as secretary has expired, he is unopposed. Paddy O'Callaghan has been treasurer since 1991, but he is not seeking re election and, only Peter Thornton of Tipperary has been nominated for the onerous task.

Karen Madden, who was secretary for four years and publicity officer for the last two years, is retiring, and O'Callaghan is listed for her position, along with Conor Lally.
