CAMOGIE LEAGUE DIVISION ONE FINAL: Wexford 3-10 Galway 0-10:WEXFORD WERE put to the pin of their collars but they found a way to quell the Galway resistance and in the process annex a third successive Division 1 title at Semple Stadium yesterday.
The final margin was very flattering to the champions as the westerners pushed hard for 25 minutes at the end of the first half and the start of the second, but they failed to capitalise on some good opportunities and were punished in the end.
Una Leacy’s hat-trick was the difference despite the best efforts of Galway’s Aislinn Connolly.
Elsewhere Waterford took the Division Two title, defeating Antrim 0-16 to 2-9. The Déise girls only hit the front for the first time with a 58th minute point from Karen Kelly.
