LEINSTER PRODUCED a powerful second-half effort to leave Ulster trailing in their wake in the Schools Under-19 Interprovincial Championship at Donnybrook yesterday.

The visitors looked a quality side when carving up Leinster for a try by right wing Conor Gaston, converted by outhalf Patrick Jackson in the 11th minute. But that was as good as it got for Ulster. Fullback James Thornton landed a penalty from the left, and right wing Gerard Mullen made the line for an 8-7 lead in the 28th minute.
