SEAMUS CALLANAN’S 2-13 earned champions Drom-Inch a place in the decider after extra time. This was a dour enough game which only came to life briefly in the closing stages as Loughmore Castleiney came from the dead to force extra time.
Callanan goalled in the 21st minute of the second half and again in the first period of extra time, after the sides were locked at 1-18 apiece at the end of normal time. But, with Loughmore Castleiney down to 14 men for most of extra time after Liam Treacy’s red card, it was one-way traffic from then on.
