PETE SAMPRAS will meet Andre Agassi at the Eurocard Open in Stuttgart today - a fitting clash at a tournament which has drawn the cream of the men's tennis world.
Sampras will be playing his rival for the first time since February after brushing aside Spaniard Felix Mantilla in straight sets.
Boris Becker put on a serving show, blasting Sweden's Thomas Enqvist 6-4 7-5, while world number five Goran Ivanisevic of Croatia defeated American Todd Martin 6-2 6-4.
Agassi, who hammered fellow Davis Cup player Richey Reneberg 6-4 6-2 in just 59 minutes, has lost his last two matches against Sampras, who now holds a 10-8 edge in career meetings.
Sampras was even faster, beating Mantilla in 48 minutes to extend his winning run to 19 matches - the best this year.
Becker, seeded sixth, put on a vintage serving display as he blasted Sweden's Thomas Enqvist 6-4 7-5.
