Elm Park's Lady Captain's Prize turned out to be a day to remember for Toni Hannigan. The 26 handicapper was a runaway winner of Betty Curneen's prize. With four pars on the front nine (which gave her 26 points) and a further two more on the back, she amassed a tremendous 46 points total. That blew away the opposition, with her nearest challenger being this year's Nutley Cup winner Doreen McNamara on 40, who despite starting with a birdie on the first and having six other pars was unable to catch Hannigan, whose round saw her lose four shots.
Former Curtis Cup player and captain Ita Butler collected the gross prize with 31 points.
