Tries from Jared Payne and Conor Murray, supplemented by the boot of Paddy Jackson, ensured Ireland enjoyed an historic night in Cape Town as they beat the Springboks 26-20.

The fact that the monumental effort also came in the wake of CJ Stander’s early red card made it even more memorable.

Naturally, Twitter exploded as the final whistle went.
