• Wales star Gavin Henson's international comeback is on hold until at least the Six Nations in February after he was ruled out of the autumn Test series due to an ongoing Achilles problem. He was due to play against South Africa last Saturday, but withdrew before kick-off. Henson was not considered for tomorrow night's meeting with Canada, and he will also miss Tests against New Zealand on Saturday week and Australia seven days later.

• Munster will not know until today the extent of the injury sustained by Denis Hurley in a warm-up game against UL Bohemian ahead of next Tuesday's game against New Zealand at Thomond Park.

Munster were to have played Harlequins at the Stoop on Monday but the game was called off when the London side could not field a team. A game was arranged against the local side during which Hurley, a replacement, suffered a knee injury as Munster won 31-12.

• Centre Matteo Pratichetti has been drafted into the Italy team for Saturday's Test against Argentina in Turin. The Calvisano player, who replaces the injured Gonzalo Canale, is one of three changes to the side which lost 30-20 to Australia last Saturday.
