Louth 2-11 Fermanagh 0-10:A JP ROONEY-inspired Louth romped to victory at Brewster Park yesterday as he claimed a goal and three points. His goal came after a defensive mistake in the first half and it helped Louth to a two-point half-time lead.
With Rooney landing points, and Aaron Hoey, Andy McDonnell and substitute Shane Lennon much too hot for the defence, Louth entered the final 10 minutes with little chance of any comeback emanating from Fermanagh, who had lost Ciarán McElroy after the forward picked up his second yellow card in the 55th minute.
Lennon struck for an injury-time goal that put the contest beyond doubt.
