CRISTIANO RONALDO has said he will stay at Manchester United next season. The Portuguese winger was at the centre of the summer's longest transfer saga as Real Madrid pursued him. He was keen to go but ultimately said he would stay for "another year at least", and now he has told the Spanish newspaper Marca: "I am a Manchester United player and now I think that next year I will continue here ."
His comments came two days after Madrid's president, Ramon Calderon, insisted their pursuit of Ronaldo was over.
Carlos Tevez will also stay with United despite being out of the starting XI since the arrival of Dimitar Berbatov, his adviser, Kia Joorabchian, said.
