CO SLIGO professional Leslie Robinson and Lisburn assistant Enmon Logue share a two-under-par 70 after the first day's play in the £10,000 Ulster PGA Championship at Castle Hume.
Robinson's only mistake was at the short fourth hole, where he missed the green but he then pencilled in birdies at the sixth, eighth and 11th holes to match Logue's earlier performance, which in fact had set up a course record.
The highlight of Logue's card was an eagle at the long sixth, where he popped his nine-iron approach from 40 yards into the cup. That left him out in four under par 32, having birdied the third and seventh holes, but he then lost strokes at the 10th and 18th on the homeward trip.
One shot behind the overnight leaders was twice former winner Jimmy Heggarty and Geoff Loughrey. Loughrey, after two birdies, was heading for a share of the leadership but missed from six feet on the home green to drop his only shot of the round.
