SCOTTISH CUP SIXTH ROUND REPLAY/Dundee Utd 1 Rangers 0:RANGERS' HOPES of a domestic treble were shattered last night as they crashed out of the Scottish Cup to a last-gasp winner from David Robertson.

Robertson struck in the final minute of the quarter-final replay to secure Dundee United a meeting with Raith Rovers in the last four of the competition.

The home side started well and Jon Daly’s 20-yard strike called Allan McGregor into action early on, before Craig Conway drilled narrowly wide of the Rangers goalkeeper’s right-hand post.

At the other end, John Fleck was allowed to embark on a surging run past several United players into the box but the end product was weak and Sean Dillon was able to clear the danger.

Rangers squandered a decent chance when DaMarcus Beasley whipped in a cross from the left but Andy Little connected awkwardly in front of goal and his soft effort was comfortably gathered by goalkeeper Dusan Pernis.

Goodwillie had the ball in the back of the net with 87 minutes on the clock but the assistant referee had flagged for offside. well before the effort crossed the line, before McGregor pulled off a great save to deny Daly.

But the Rangers goalkeeper was helpless to prevent United snatching a dramatic victory in the final minute when he raced off his line to block only for Robertson to slot past him.
