Age: 20.
Position: right side of midfield/wing.
Previous clubs: Stella Maris.
Honours: twice PFAI Young Player of the Year.
International honours: capped at Youth and under-21 levels and scored Ireland's goal in this week's under-21 international at Kilkenny.
Club form this season: outstanding. Having only come into the side last season after joining the club's FAS scheme, he has formed a strong understanding with Owen Heary and the pair link up well down the right side. Has scored five league goals.
Cup final role: when Shelbourne are playing well Baker becomes a key figure in their attacks with the 20-year-old acting as one of the main sources of scoring opportunities for the front men. His pace and close ball control allow him to push past full-backs and get to the line but he is just as happy to cut inside and have a shot himself. He is fiercely determined, chasing everything and often causing problems for defenders with his agility.
Future prospects: despite having established himself so strongly here, the fact that he is probably the most capped player in the country over the past couple of years and repeated rumours of a move to England Shelbourne insist that they have never had a firm offer for Baker. Has had a couple of trials this season and could well move before the start of next season.
