Preseli, Ireland's top-rated two-year-old filly of last year, makes her seasonal debut in the Listed Derrinstown Stud 1,000 Guineas Trial at Leopardstown on Sunday.
Trainer Michael Grassick said today: "The filly is in good form and the plan is to run her after Sunday in the Irish 1,000 Guineas at the Curragh later this month."
Preseli's biggest win came when she beat Torgau in the Group One Moyglare Stud Stakes at the Curragh last September.
Yesterday Kings Best became the second colt in 12 months to change his name after winning a Classic. An official correction has been made to the name registered for Saeed Suhail's three-year-old, impressive winner of the Sagitta 2000 Guineas last Saturday, deleting the apostrophe in "Kings".
There was a similar change last year when "Saffron Waldon" became "Saffron Walden".
