ROYAL Port rush won the Ulster section of the Women's Irish Senior Cup at Ballycastle yesterday.
In the morning's semi-finals, Royal Portrush swept aside last year's All-Ireland cup winners, Royal Co Down, by four matches to none in the afternoon final they beat Belvoir Park by taking the first three matches.
Former Royal Portrush captain Jane Allen had the honour of clinching the provincial title when she beat Debbie Allen by four and two. Earlier Helen Jones and Sonya Verschuur gave the Royal Port rush team a good start by taking the top two matches.
The Irish Senior Cup finals will be played at Glasson on June 28th and 29th.
