MARTIN PIPE is set to launch an all-out assault in a bid to go through the card at "his" meeting at Taunton. The seven-time champion jumps trainer sponsors Friday's card, an extra fixture allocated to counter the effects of the recent freeze, which features races like the Martin Pipe Racing Is The Life Novices' Handicap Hurdle and the Martin Pipe Am I That Difficult? Handicap Hurdle.
And the entries suggest he will make another bold bid to fulfil a long-held ambition to win every race on a card. He is responsible for no fewer than 32 of the 145 horses put in the six races, including 10 in the opening Martin Pipe Winners Galore Novices' Hurdle.
The record-breaking trainer has made several previous attempts to go through the card, landing the first five races on a six-race programme at Exeter in August, 1991 and the first four on the same course four years later.
