Jim Dreaper has been restocking his stable with some nice young jumpers and two of these, Pellegrini and Ollimar, could provide him with a double at Naas this afternoon.

Pellegrini was a much talked of horse at Navan on his first outing in mid-March. The chat was translated into money in the ring and he was backed down to 9 to 4 favouritism. He had gone ahead before halfway and stayed there to score in comfort.

He now makes his hurdles debut, and while Youlneverwalkalone will have the call in the ring this time, Pellegrini could prove the more mature of the pair.

Ollimar ran a topping race to finish a close third to Siberian Gale at Down Royal, and in receipt of 8lb, could get home ahead of the Leopardstown November Handicap runner-up, Hill Society, in the Poplar Square Chase.

The nap choice is Paul Carberry's mount, Snow Dragon, in the RBF Beginners Chase. Here we are guaranteed fair odds, with Alexander Banquet, who has never been beaten in Ireland, lining up.

This is Alexander Banquet's first chase start, though, whereas Snow Dragon is competing over fences for the fourth time. Furthermore, it has to be noted that his best run is his most recent start, for at Punchestown last Saturday he made Go Roger Go fight hard for the money in a Grade Three contest after looking the probable winner at the last. He had a previous Triumph Hurdle winner, Commanche Court, back in third place.

In recent months you could set your clock by Disposen, as her form figures demonstrate, and another good effort is surely on the cards in the Newbridge Handicap Hurdle.

Her trainer has certainly planned her campaign with skill, for he has gradually lifted her in class to offset her inevitable climb in the weights. Thus after seven consecutive firsts and seconds, she is still only 1lb above the minimum.
