Polish international swimmer Alicja Peczak, who is the current European champion in the 50m, 100m and 200m breaststroke, stamped her class at the finish of the Leisureland international meet at the Cranny Pool in Galway yesterday.
On Saturday she set a new all comers record in the 100m breaststroke with her time of 1:10.36. Her second all comers record on Saturday was in the 400m IM when she came first in 4:43.04.
Peczak's final two records arrived at the last session in the 200m breaststroke, which had stood for 10 years, and the 400m freestyle.
New Ross Club took a notable scalp in the Men's 4x50m medley relay which they won in 1:47.29 ahead of Holland.
Highly promising Niamh Cawley from the Claremorris Club won two more golds in the backstroke at 50m and 200m. Andrew Bree from Ards will be Ireland's only representative at the World Short Course Championships in Hong Kong next month when he will participate in breaststroke and medley.
