RUGBY MUNSTER SCHOOLS' SENIOR CUP:PBC CORK will host St Munchin's in the quarter-final of the Munster Senior Cup having beaten Glenstal 21-5 in their first round match in Cork yesterday.
Two second-half tries from Barry Fitzgerald and captain Ryan Murphy paved the way for last seasons’ champions as they dismissed their Limerick rivals with a bit to spare.
Glenstal gave as good as they got for the opening half but two missed penalty opportunities either side of a Rory Scannell drop goal left them trailing 3-0.
Glenstal registered a late try by the impressive Conor Kearns but it proved little more than a consolation and they will return to Cork next week to take on Christian Brothers College in their quarterfinal fixture.
