AIRTRICITY LEAGUE PREMIER DIVISION: UCD 1 St Patrick's Ath 3:IN-FORM STRIKERS Danny North and Daryl Kavanagh made it five goals between them from three games as St Patrick's stretched their unbeaten league run to nine matches.
With a tight game level at 1-1, Kavanagh struck to regain the lead for St Patrick’s on 68 minutes when looping away from his marker to get on the end of captain Stephen Bradley’s corner and head the ball past Ger Barron.
North then struck to clinch it on 82 minutes with the goal of the game. Kavanagh and Dave Mulcahy combined to set him up and North drilled his shot past Barron.
The visitors’ early dominance resulted in a lead goal after 12 minutes.
The UCD marking from Kavanagh’s cross was negligent, leaving former College skipper Evan McMillan in acres of space to put the ball back across the goal where winger Derek Doyle tapped home from close range.
St Patrick’s were punished for sloppy defending from UCD’s first corner on 31 minutes.
Dean Marshall’s ball back into the area was headed home by central defender David O’Connor.
